Five Exciting Draft Options If the Pacers Do Not Trade up in the Draft
By George Moser
Omer Yurtseven – Georgetown
The 7-foot junior from Georgetown stands out for a lot of reasons. The most notable of which is the fact that he scored 91 points in a single game! In 2016, Yurtseven absolutely took over a Turkish U18 game and recorded a double-double with 91 points and 28 rebounds, powering his club to a 115-82 win in a game that quickly gained international media attention and notice from NBA players such as Enes Kanter.
If drafted, Yurtseven would become the fifth currently active Turkish player in the NBA, joining players such as Enes Kanter and Ersan Ilyasova.
The Pacers already have a crowd with Turner, Sabonis, and Bitadze at the center position. However, Yurtseven could become a contingency option if the Pacers ultimately decide to start trading assets during the season.
