Jay Scrubb – John A. Logan College

With the future of Victor Oladipo in question and Lamb still injured, there is a deficit at shooting guard. While the 54th pick won’t fulfill the Pacers needs at Shooting Guard, drafting Jay Scrubb is a low risk, high reward option. Scrubb, a Louisville native, also represents an opportunity for the Pacers to continue building the team’s brand of growing basketball in the heartland.

After all, in order to get from Louisville to Scrubb’s John A. Logan College in Southern Illinois, you have to drive through Southern Indiana. With Louisville less than two hours away from Indianapolis, it seems like a sure bet that the Pacers can at least attempt to play up the hometown kid vibe.

At the very least, he is a player that should be available as an option in the second round.
