The Indiana Pacers are still a very promising team in the Eastern Conference.

With plenty of exciting players on the roster, the Indiana Pacers have plenty to look forward to next season. They should be optimistic about the future, despite facing uncertainty regarding some important players this offseason. They will have opportunities for success in 2021.

The Indiana Pacers have a new perspective

Nate Bjorkgren was hired as the new head coach, bringing a fresh perspective to a team that desperately needs it. After treading water under Nate McMillan, Bjorkgren brings playoff experience, and success, to Indiana.

Bjorkgren helped lead the Toronto Raptors to the NBA Finals in 2019, which they won over the Golden State Warriors. He has also served as an assistant with the Phoenix Suns and spent time with T.J. Warren during the early years of his NBA career.

Under Nick Nurse’s coaching staff, the Raptors are 23-12 in the playoffs, something the Pacers can only wish to accomplish. Nurse, who took over in 2018, added Bjorkgren to his staff and many consider Bjorkgren to be the best assistant of that group. Now, he gets his chance as the lead man.

Indiana has a capable roster in place that can finish near the top of the Eastern Conference. The task is now to find a way to get beyond the first round of the playoffs. Bjorkgren’s experience around success is a huge bonus for the Pacers.
