Injuries test the Indiana Pacers

Injuries are something the Indiana Pacers can just never escape, so you had to see this coming. We could talk about the injury-plagued season we just came off of but I’ll stick to talking about three big ones in recent history, Paul George, Victor Oladipo, and Danny Granger. All three of these injuries were to All-Star players all out on the court showing that they are stars in this league.

One of these players in Danny Granger would actually have his career ended due to nagging knee injuries. He was never the same, bouncing around the league to end his career after Paul George took advantage of Granger’s absence due to injury.

We don’t know the impact Victor Oladipo’s injuries are going to have on his career, but in his short time back he hasn’t looked the same, but you also have to take into account the small sample size. Hopefully Victor can get back to form whether it be on the Pacers or not, I never wish injuries to derail anyone’s career in sports.

The third player to deal with a major injury was Paul George, going up to contest James Harden‘s shot in a useless Team USA scrimmage where he snapped his leg on the basket stanchion. This is probably the most gruesome injury of the three, but it seems to have had the least amount of impact. Paul George has been a great player since recovering and changing his number to 13.

I’m here for all the “Playoff P” and “Pandemic P” jokes but you can’t deny that Paul George is a great basketball player, lucky to not be derailed by an injury. Dear Injuries, go away. Signed – all Pacer fans.

Honorable mention: Drafting T.J. Leaf

Next. Pacers should be optimistic for next season. dark
