James Wiseman – C (Memphis)

A bold move would be to trade Myles Turner for another promising center in James Wiseman. Wiseman, a big-time college recruit at Memphis, put up incredible numbers for a freshman last season. He averaged 19.7 points and 3.0 blocks per game, serving as a solid two-way big.

Wiseman only played in three games for Memphis before shifting his focus to the NBA Draft but he appeared to be the talent we all expected him to be. If Indiana decides to make a move for Wiseman, it would likely be more because of Turner’s contract than anything else.

While this move raises some questions, the Pacers are still getting a great young replacement and a fraction of the cost. There would also not be much pressure to start Wiseman right away given that Domantas Sabonis is the star of the team.

One downside here, of course, is that the Pacers drafted Goga Bitadze last summer. Drafting yet another big man is a sure way to ruffle some feathers among Pacers fans.
