A.J. Price (2009)

The former UCONN point guard is the last player on our list. The Indiana Pacers selected A.J. Price with the 22nd pick in the second round of the 2009 NBA draft, 52nd overall. Price played for the Pacers for three seasons in his first stop with the Pacers. In those first three years, his first and second seasons were his best.

In his rookie season, Price played in 56 games and started in two of them. He averaged 7.3 points and 1.9 assists coming off the bench for the Pacers. Price played in 50 games his second season and averaged 6.5 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.6  rebounds.

In 2014-15, Price played 10 games with the Pacers due to the Pacers being depleted at the point guard position due to injuries to George Hill and Rodney Stuckey. Price would have two more stops in that season playing with Cleveland and Phoenix.

The guys on this list have shown that there are gems to be found in the second round of the NBA Draft. Perhaps the Pacers can find similar luck in 2020 as they currently hold just one selection.
