Louis Orr (1980)

For our next second-round pick we have to go all the way back to 1980. Louis Orr was drafted by the Indiana Pacers with the 6th pick in the second round, 29th overall. Louis Orr was a 6-foot-8, 175-pound forward out of Syracuse.

Orr’s first two seasons with the Pacers are very impressive on paper. In his rookie season, Orr appeared in all 82 games and averaged 10.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. Orr only played two seasons with the Pacers before leaving for New York.

In the last season with the Pacers, which was his best, he averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists all while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field. Orr went on to play six seasons with the Knicks.
