Indiana Pacers: 2020 NBA Draft visits are on the way

The Indiana Pacers will be able to meet with prospects this week.
The Indiana Pacers will officially start their draft meetings this week as the NBA allows visits. According to Stadium and The Athletic, NBA teams will be able to have prospects in for workouts and meetings starting on October 16.
Protocols will be in place regarding testing and clearance for players, coaches, and organizations. The NBA conducted a flawless bubble experiment in the restart and hope to have similar success in the looming offseason.
The NBA is allowing teams to begin conducting in-person meetings (medical evaluation, workout) with 2020 Draft prospects from Oct. 16-Nov. 16, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Teams receiving up to two visits per player; no more than 10 total among prospects.

With teams only allowed to meet with a player twice over this period, meetings are sure to be important in what appears to be a weird offseason. However, this is a great opportunity for teams to bring in players that they’ve been monitoring for a while now.
The Pacers are in a difficult position at the moment as they do not have a first-round draft pick or a head coach. Indiana currently holds the 54th overall pick in this draft after dealing away the 24th pick in the Malcolm Brogdon sign-and-trade last summer.
Unless the Pacers acquire a pick in a trade, they will only have one selection near the end of the draft. Fans have been relatively pleased with Indiana’s second-round selections in recent years, including Alize Johnson and Edmond Sumner who still bring energy off the bench.
More draft news will come out as we get more clearance on the offseason ahead. The draft is currently set for November 18 assuming there will be no setbacks before then. With roughly a month to go, expect the Pacers to be active in some realm of the NBA offseason.
