Indiana Pacers: Ranking the team’s top trade chips
By Luke Parrish
Indiana Pacers actually move Victor Oladipo
This should not be a huge shock to anyone. Ever since he returned from injury, rumors have spread that Victor Oladipo will be on the move. Oladipo, in small sample size, has not looked like himself after the injury that ended his 2018-19 season.
The Pacers are not afraid to trade a player if they see an offer worth their while. Victor Oladipo may not hold the same value as he did after the 2018 season, but he is still a very good player who is still in his prime.
Teams looking for an extra star, a la the Miami Heat, will have interest in Oladipo once the trade window opens. If a team really wants to pair Oladipo with a superstar, they might be willing to pay a price in order to chase a ring.
I cannot speculate trades because I do not have a clue how teams value Oladipo at the moment, but the Pacers should ideally get a young prospect and a proven veteran in return for Vic. Oladipo is still a good player with plenty to provide on the offensive end.
I do not want Victor Oladipo to get traded but he does present the best possible return if he does get moved. The Pacers might be wise to test the waters on him.
