Drafting T.J. Leaf with the 18th pick in the 2017 Draft

A month after Kevin Pritchard inked his contract to become the President, it was time for the 2017 Draft. Having the 18th pick in that draft, the Pacers decided to draft one-and-done PF from UCLA, T.J. Leaf.

In college, T.J. Leaf put up great numbers averaging: 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists on .617/.466/.679 shooting splits. We would never see that version of T.J. Leaf again. Leaf never panned out to anything special and showing he has no place in an NBA rotation. He had a couple of solid games when he had to step in for the injury-riddled Pacers, but he also had so many terrible games.

What makes this selection much worse is looking at players drafted after him like John Collins, Jarrett Allen, and OG Anunoby. Pain.
