Alex English made steady strides during his first two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks before breaking out in his first of two seasons with Indiana. He increased his scoring average from 9.6 points the Bucks in 1977-78 to 16.0 points per game with the Pacers the following season. He also grabbed 8.1 rebounds and dished out 3.3 assists.
He remained consistent the following season with a 16.9 points per game scoring average, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. English left for Denver the following season and exploded onto the scene. English went on to become an eight-time NBA all-star and three-time All-NBA honoree while playing 11 more seasons in the NBA and averaged 21.5 points per game.
