Best Indiana Pacers Player from LSU: John Williams

The 12th overall pick in the 1986 NBA Draft to the Washington Bullets, John Williams was a highly skilled player that battled weight issues for his entire career. He averaged more than 12 points, nearly 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game in five seasons with Washington before missing all of the 1991-92 season due to his weight.

After two seasons with the Clippers, Williams finished his career with the Pacers in 1994-95 where he averaged 2.9 points and 1.8 rebounds in 34 contests.

Best Indiana Pacers Player from Ole Miss: Johnny Neumann

After jumping around the ABA for a few seasons, Johnny Neumann landed with the Pacers via trade from the Virginia Squires in the fall of 1974. He averaged a career-low to that point 8.3 points per game in 38 contests. He left the Pacers that offseason and then returned briefly via trade in 1977. He scored another career-low 4.2 points in the final 20 NBA games of his career.

Neumann died of brain cancer in April of 2019 after a long coaching career in Europe and Asia.
