Best Indiana Pacers Player from Oklahoma: Wayman Tisdale
Wayman Tisdale was selected with the second overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft after three-consecutive All-America honors and three straight Big Eight Player of the Year Awards. He continued that success early in the NBA averaging 14.7 points and 7.2 rebounds during his rookie season.
Tisdale played more than three seasons with the Pacers and averaged 15.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per night. He was traded in February of 1989 to the Sacramento Kings for LaSalle Thompson and Randy Whitman.
Tisdale was diagnosed with cancer in his knee in 2007 which eventually required part of his leg to be amputated. He passed in May of 2009 due to complications from his cancer treatment.
Best Indiana Pacers Player from Oklahoma St.: Stephen Graham
Stephen Graham jumped around the NBA for a couple of seasons before landing with the Pacers as a free agent prior to the 2007-08 season. His two seasons in Indiana would be two of the best for his career which included 5.4 points per game during the 2008-09 campaign.
Seeing action in 74 games, mostly as a reserve, Graham averaged five points and 1.6 rebounds per outing before moving on after his two years in the Circle City.
