Best Indiana Pacers Player from Nebraska: Erick Strickland
Erick Strickland made his way to Indiana in his seventh of nine NBA seasons. Mostly used in a reserve role, Strickland averaged 10.6 points in his rookie campaign and again reached double figures in his fourth year at 12.8. There were stops in Dallas, New York, Vancouver, and Boston before appearing in 71 games for the Pacers in 2002-03.
A threat from downtown, Strickland averaged 6.5 points, 2.9 assists, and two rebounds to help the Pacers to a postseason appearance for the first time in three years.
Best Indiana Pacers Player from Northwestern: Ronald Kozlicki
Despite being selected 41st overall in the 1967 NBA Draft, Kozlicki chose to play for the Pacers in the ABA. He played 37 games for Indiana that season in what would be his only contests as a professional.
Kozlicki notched 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in helping the Pacer reach the playoffs where they were defeated in the first round by the Pittsburgh Pipers.
