Key moments from T.J. Warren’s first season with Indiana Pacers
T.J. Warren seals win over Philadelphia 76ers
Coming into this matchup against the Sixers, Indiana had lost three of their last five while splitting their previous two games with Philadelphia.
Warren was continuing to find his place in the Pacers lineup, excelling on offense and averaging nearly 20 points per game in their last six games while continuing to impress on the defensive end of the floor as well.
The game in mid-January was another contest in which Warren came up big on both ends of the floor, leading the team along with Brogdon with 21 points each while shooting 8-of-13 from the field including 5-of-7 from the free-throw line.
It was another night where Warren found success in attacking the paint, scoring over half of his points inside while shooting just five shot attempts from outside of 15 feet and converting on two.
Warren’s hot hand kept the Pacers afloat in the first quarter, keeping them within one while leading the team with 8 first-quarter points.
It was the final thirty seconds that would prove to be the most pivotal for Warren and the Pacers.
With Indiana leading by two with less than a minute left, Philadelphia’s Tobias Harris would have his go-ahead 3-point attempt blocked by Warren.
The key defensive play would allow Domantas Sabonis to secure the rebound, forcing Philadelphia to foul, clinching the game for the Pacers in the process.
