Ben Hansborough joined his brother on the Pacers

You probably know about Tyler Hansborough, the lottery pick in 2009 that just didn’t pan out for the Pacers.

But do you remember his brother, Ben?

Prior to the start of Tyler’s fourth season with the Pacers, Indiana signed his younger brother to a small, non-guaranteed deal after he had spent some time playing overseas and ran with the team’s Summer League squad that offseason.

Ben would, following his time with the Pacers, play overseas again and then sign with the Chicago Bulls, but was released before appearing in any games in Chicago.

Ben was kept around for the entire season in Indiana, seeing playing time in 28 regular-season games, most frequently in garbage time minutes. He also appeared in six postseason games (again, garbage time minutes).

Ben averaged 2.0 points per game in his sole season with Indiana.

Neither Tyler or Ben would really pan out in the league and stick in significant roles, both leaving the Pacers after that season.
