Indiana Pacers team consistency

After starting the season 0-3 in the first week of regular season play, the Pacers found their footing, winning three in a row against the Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Chicago Bulls before dropping two in a row in the middle of November.

From that point forward, the Pacers would win the next 14 of 18 games starting in the middle of November before they would lose back to back games against the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelcians near the end of December.

In these games, they would suit up without their floor leader in Brogdon and were still awaiting Oladipo’s return.

This eighteen game stretch calmed the fears of fans that were hesitant to buy in completely on an Indiana team that had overcome an almost complete roster makeover and were encouraged with their ability to dominate on both ends of the floor.

During this stretch of success, Indiana averaged nearly 111 points offensively while holding their opponents to 105 points a game.

Not only did it seem the team had finally found their footing but individually the Pacers had a surplus of surprise performers. For example, Domantas Sabonis led the team in rebounds in every game during this stretch while players such as Aaron Holiday, T.J. Warren and T.J. McConnell made their name throughout the Indiana ranks with combinations of scoring, defense, and hustle.
