Indiana Pacers health is improving

This year has been anything but healthy for the Pacers. Victor Oladipo was out for over a year dating back to January 2019. The Pacers missed over 175 man games in total.

An underrated positive of the season suspension is that many players who need rest will be able to get it. Putting your body on the shelf unexpectedly certainly can pull away from being in tip-top shape, but it does help to rest ailments for the time being.

Malcolm Brogdon was experiencing some here-and-there issues that will now be rested, and Jeremy Lamb should hopefully make his return from a season-ending ACL tear at some point in the early stages of next year, and role players like JaKarr Sampson will be able to rest up and prime for defensive stops as well CHECK CONTRACT.

Most of all, though, Victor Oladipo will finally be getting back to normal next year. As we’ve seen, coming back from so much time off due to injury recovery can be a tough transition for any player. Gordon Hayward took a season to find his rhythm. Oladipo has been improving, but not without his low points in the process as we should have expected.

Coming into next season, though, he’ll presumably have a full training camp and preseason of full-contact preparation behind him and be able to approach game one of the season with full force. His ryhthym will be back and the Pacers can start racking up wins under his leadership right away.
