The Indiana Pacers welcome the Dallas Mavericks to Indianapolis, but with key injuries to both sides, the game won’t be a true showing of power for either team.

The Indiana Pacers welcome the Dallas Mavericks in their one trip to Indy tonight. The match-up is not the premier game it could have been to a rash of recent injuries for each team. Dallas comes in without MVP candidate Luka Doncic, who re-injured his ankle this past week, Seth Curry, and Dwight Powell while the Pacers will be without T.J. Warren due to a concussion.

For Indiana, this is a chance at a bounce back performance after the egregious loss to the New York Knicks this weekend. Only two players scored in double figures on the night and the 85 points they managed was the second lowest all season. Victor Oladipo came off the bench in the game and will continue his efforts to gain rhythm against Dallas.

The Mavericks meanwhile, without their superstar will continue to lean on Kristaps Porzingis. He had 35 points and 12 rebounds against Houston on Friday before missing Saturday’s game for load management. He will look to stretch the floor from the center/power forward positions while also looking for spots to take players off the dribble. He will be a tough match-up for both of the Pacers starting bigs.

As was learned against the Knicks, the Pacers can’t overlook anybody. Dallas may have some injuries but they have also won tough games against Milwaukee and Philadelphia this season without Doncic. This will be another tough game against a high-powered offense, but the Pacers should have the pieces defensively to slow them down.
