Malcolm Brogdon

So far this season Brogdon has been nothing short of incredible. Despite battling a sore lower back that has forced him to miss three games, Brogdon has been the team’s brightest star without Oladipo in the lineup.

Brogdon has showcased an innate ability to distribute the basketball which has correlated to success for other players in the rotation.

In the 12 games, Brogdon has played this season, the former Milwaukee Buck has reached double-digit assists on five different occasions. As a result, Brogdon has averaged 8.2 assists per game.

However, Brogdon’s ability to get his teammates involved isn’t the only aspect of his game that has kept the Pacers afloat without Oladipo.

Brogdon has shown an impressive ability to score.

There has been only one game so far this season Brogdon has not reached double digits in scoring and that was the contest where he would leave early due to the lower back issue.

Besides that night, Brogdon has been lights out.

On three different occasions, this season Brogdon has been able to score 25+ points. That has led to Brogdon averaging 19.2 points this season, an impressive mark for a player who is stepping into a starting point guard role professionally for the first time.

Brogdon’s ability to score and distribute has put the league on notice and placed him into all-star consideration despite the season still being so young.

The combination of Brogdon and Oladipo can prove to be lethal once the team is fully healthy.

Pacer fans should be thankful to have him on the roster.
