21. Myles Turner

Here’s a name that you’ll more than likely see higher on this list in a couple of years. Myles Turner is still only 23 years old and is already important enough to be knocking on the door of the Top 20 greatest Pacers players ever.

From the same draft class as Kristaps Porzingis, Myles Turner is a unicorn in his own right. At nearly 7 feet tall, Turner is an absolute monster on defense while still possessing a dangerous offensive game as well. He’s improved his shot from 3-point range in each of his four seasons, with his career-best being the nearly 39 percent he shot in 2018-2019; a great mark for many players, let alone a center.

Myles has always been an exceptional shot blocker, which culminated in his league-leading 2.7 blocks per game in his most recent season. But it’s not all about shot blocking for Myles. His positioning on defense is fantastic, and he simply possesses a natural instinct for creating trouble for every single opposing offense in the NBA.

As Turner continues to hone his skills and grow into his prime, he and his supporting cast look poised to make some noise for years to come. If Myles sticks around Indiana long term (which seems likely with his recent contract extension), he could pretty easily find himself in the Top 10 for the Pacers when it’s all said and done.
