The Indiana Pacers opened the season against division rival, the Detroit Pistons. Lack of cohesion on both sides of the ball led to an opening night loss for a team with new faces.

The Indiana Pacers dropped their season opener, in a division rivalry, to the Detroit Pistons. The Pacers put new faces on the floor, and it showed as the team got off to a slow start and never fully recovered in the loss.

Even though the team displayed resolve throughout the contest, battling back and forth with the Pistons, there were obvious holes in the team’s approach.

However, Nate McMillan’s team showcased promise as they essentially beat themselves in the loss.

There is a lot of room for growth but with things just getting started, expect the Pacers to improve in each game.
