Final Pick

The easy choice here would be Malcolm Brogdon. His ability to create, score, and defend, makes him a threat in all facets of the game. There’s no telling how his scoring numbers may look when Oladipo returns, but there’s no arguing that it will make Brogdon’s life easier as they combine to make what could be one of the best defensive backcourts in the league.

While Lamb will more than likely shift to the second unit once Oladipo returns, it’s hard to pick a player with a role that will change halfway through the season and with Bitadze’s minutes up-in-the-air at the moment, it leaves us with Warren.

While Warren stood as a bit of a defensive liability in his time in Phoenix, his offensive ability will make up for any defensive shortcomings in Indiana. Couple that with the hope that he stays healthy, Warren could find himself in a comfortable role in Indiana’s starting lineup.

Warren will step into a forward position that has been lacking in the scoring category in Indiana. With Bogdanovic’s 18 PPG going to the Utah Jazz in the offseason and TJ Leaf (3.9 PPG) along with Doug McDermott (7.3 PPG) combining for 11.2 PPG, the forward position has never needed more offensive production than now.

The role that Warren will step into to fill is one that will help the Pacers offensive woes from last season immediately, but continuously throughout the 2020 season.
