Jeremy Lamb

Free-agent acquisition Jeremy Lamb comes from the Charlotte Hornets, a team in which he averaged 15.3 points per game last season along with shooting 44% from the field. While shooting 35% from the three last season, Lamb will look to slide into the starting shooting guard role until Victor Oladipo returns from injury.

Lamb set career highs in points per game and rebounds per game (5.5) last season and will aid the Pacers offense in his ability to shoot and be a playmaker.

However, his ability to defend makes him an underrated two-way player.

While looking to compliment his previous stellar season, Lamb’s athletic ability both offensively and defensively make him a free-agent pickup that could boost the second unit Oladipo returns.

Lamb can also fill some of the scoring holes that plagued the Pacers last season, a season in which they averaged 108 PPG, only good for 22nd in the league in that statistic.

Lamb’s offensive ability will come in handy in Oladipo’s absence but upon Oladipo’s return may be where Lamb serves his most critical role in providing a scoring boost off the bench with the second unit.

The Pacers bench unit comprised of 39.3 PPG in the regular season last season.
