Myles Turner is already working on building chemistry with two of his new teammates on the Indiana Pacers, T.J. McConnell and Goga Bitadze.

A couple of recently added members of the Indiana Pacers are already working on getting comfortable with their new squad. Last night, Pacers’ center Myles Turner sat courtside at an Indiana Fever game with free agent signing T.J. McConnell and 1st round draft pick Goga Bitadze.

Over the last couple of seasons since the departure of Paul George, it’s been clear that the new era of Indiana Pacers basketball had prided itself on its chemistry. Players seem to trust one another in this locker room, and the benefits of this have carried over onto the court.

However, with every Pacers free agent departing this summer (a total of 7 players), there was concern that chemistry would take a hit in 2019-2020. The good news is, it looks like things are already getting off on the right foot.

Turner, McConnell, and Bitadze hung out and watched the Indiana Fever come out on top over the visiting Atlanta Dream 61-59 thanks to a game winning basket at the hands of Erica Wheeler, recent WNBA All-Star Game MVP.

It’s nice to see Myles Turner and Goga Bitadze spending time together like this. You never know if an already established player on a team will have any sort of animosity towards a rookie coming to his squad that plays the same position, but it looks like Myles and Goga could be fast friends. Turner doesn’t at all seem like the jealous type, but this is encouraging nonetheless.

dark. Next. What if Pacers didn't trade Kawhi?

In addition to all of this, Malcolm Brogdon and Victor Oladipo have already been practicing together. Clearly, the leaders on this team are doing their part to make sure the new guys are welcomed to Indiana the right way. This should be huge in assuring the Indiana Pacers’ strong chemistry carries over into the new season despite the massive roster turnover.
