Tier 4: Hello, Lottery

Charlotte Hornets | Cleveland Cavaliers | New York Knicks |

Washington Wizards |

None of these four teams had spectacular offseasons. They ranged from the almost completely embarrassing (Knicks), to the typically puzzling (Hornets), to “poor Bradley Beal” (Wizards), to “well, we didn’t do anything” (Cavaliers).

The Knickerbockers probably have the better constructed basketball team of these four. New York added several useful role players in their panic to save face when they missed out on all the star free agents, like they usually do.

The Wizards have the best player of the four, the aforementioned Beal, but Washington might have surrounded him with the worst supporting cast in the league. When the rest of the conference strengthens, there’s bound to be some left in the dust, such as these four.
