Should the Pacers re-sign Thad Young?

Yes. The Pacers should do whatever they can to resign Thaddeus Young. I expect Young to ask for somewhere between $10-13 M per year, which is a deal they should be all over. If I were Kevin Pritchard, Young would be my top priority free agent. He’s more valuable to this team than Bojan Bogdanovic and he will cost less as well.

Indiana has Young’s bird rights, so they can keep him around even if they extend over the cap. Unless Indiana lands a superstar and needs to let Young walk to make that happen, Young should be back at all costs. One of the guys who keep the Pacers together, Young’s value will inevitably be greater than his next contract, assuming some team doesn’t massively overpay for him.

Next. Nate McMillan should listen to Gandhi. dark

Thaddeus Young would be difficult to replace and is a worthwhile way to spend Indy’s cap.
