Domantas Sabonis’ Dunk versus the 76ers
Sometimes, a player throws down a monster dunk on top of another player. That alone is almost always awesome.
Other times, a player dunks all over a superstar. That is special, and those moments are the ones that get sent to your phone via a push notification.
That is what happened when Domantas Sabonis dunked all over Joel Embiid. And I mean all. over. Embiid:
It was insane. It brought the building down. And more importantly, it made a close game ever closer.
When you dunk all over a person, you make the highlight reel. When you do it in the midst of a comeback and do it on Joel Embiid, you DEFINITELY make the highlight reel. After being tied at halftime, the Sixers got their lead up to 6 in the third quarter. But thanks to a solid team effort by the Pacers capped off by this Sabonis slam, Indiana was able to keep it at a 2 point game for most of the remainder of the quarter.
The Sixers went on to win by 6, but this game could have gotten out of hand without this momentum stopping jam from Sabonis. This one made me fist pump in my seat. It was amazing.
