In time, if he can regain his form after he recovers from his thigh injury, Victor Oladipo will rise on this list.

Oladipo’s first year was not just widely successful personally, but it was a resurgent season for the Indiana Pacers as well. Now, this list isn’t about important Pacers per se, it’s about great Pacers shooters, and it’s that mark that slides Oladipo on this list, and not another one year wonder like Adrian Dantley.

Oladipo’s quicksilver drives are unique in Pacers history. It’s like a tsunami, Oladipo winds back before rushing forward leaving most defending guards powerless to stop him.

Oladipo is no one trick pony, his pull-up 15 foot jumper is probably his best shot, and works so well because his drives can be so feared.

He has also shot career highs from 3-point range. So, if we’re scoring at home, Oladipo can score confidently at all levels of the floor: at the rim, mid-range and from three. When he’s on, few in franchise history have been better.

One can only imagine (and hope) that this is still the beginning of Oladipo’s time in Indiana. The start has been resplendent: two-all-stars with appearances of the All-defense and an All-NBA team.

And it is Oladipo who sets the tone for the team that recaptured the dormant hearts of Pacers fans across Indiana and beyond. Losing most of his second season due to injuries will deflate his numbers, for now.
