McCaw has championship experience

This is purely anecdotal, and it might mean absolutely nothing. But Patrick McCaw has been a part of two championship teams in his career, and that might add some value.

He has playoff experience and knows how the battle goes once the games become more important. Some players have a mental hurdle to get over once the playoffs come around, but McCaw wouldn’t, as his teams have been incredibly successful in his career. He has played on the largest of stages.

Who knows how much value that would actually bring to the Pacers, but it isn’t nothing. Being a part of the best team ever is knowledge that McCaw could bring to another organization. Maybe the Pacers could be that organization.

Patrick McCaw’s stats won’t jump off the page at you – at times in his career, he has been pretty underwhelming actually. But there are reasons for the Pacers to add him to the squad, and I think the team should take a good hard look into the idea of signing him.
