Bojan Bogdanovic’s current deal

Last summer, Bogdanovic signed a two year, $21,000,000 million contract. It had no raises or bonuses, just a flat $10.5 million per year.

But it was a Pacers contract, so it had some sweet intricacy or quirk that made it better than a normal contract. In this case, it was all about guarantees.

The second season of Bojan’s contract only was guaranteed for $1.5 million. Basically, his first season was a trial run to see who was better long-term for the Pacers: Bojan Bogdanovic or Glenn Robinson III. If GR3 proved to be better, the Pacers could have waived Bojan this season and freed up cap space. But Bojan proved to be a bargain on his current deal and got his second season fully guaranteed. He is a steal as a starter at just 10.5 million dollars.
