Seeing Just How Good This Team Can Be

Why not give this team another shot? After last season, where every player on the roster came into the year with a chip on their shoulder trying to prove people wrong, and winning 48 games? The too early proclaimed losers of the Paul George trade, pushing James’s Cavaliers to seven games in the playoffs?

Perhaps it was a one-year-wonder, but there was too much good from last season’s team to rip it apart.

They didn’t just win, either. They were enjoyable. They were actually fun to watch. They were fun to root for and easy to get behind.

It just worked, too. The players meshed well together and all played their role. Because of that, Indiana ranked top 12 in Offensive Rating, Defensive Rating, and Net Rating.

This team didn’t feel done, either. They could have finally had LeBron beat, but he slipped by once again. He’s out of the conference now, but there are still targets ahead of Indiana to shoot for and avenge last season’s early exit.
