What comes next for Cory Joseph?

Cory Joseph made this section easy by opting into his player option early in May. He will either be a member of the Pacers next season or he will be traded.

Joseph has played for three organizations over the course of his seven-year career. He hasn’t had a ton of stability. He seems to like Indiana given that he opted into his contract for next season so early, so there is a reason to believe that he would want to re-sign with the Pacers in the summer of 2019. But that is all speculation.

He is useful as a player who can play next to any other type of guard. That makes Joseph very valuable and effective no matter who surrounds him on the roster. Because of this, the Pacers will probably want him back when his contract expires. There is an obvious long-term fit for CoJo in Indiana.

Joseph was as useful as they come off the bench for the Cers’ this season. His value as a defensive catalyst and a smart player goes far beyond the box score. His infectious personality makes him awesome to be around. He has made the playoffs every season of his career. Put it all together, and its no secret that Joseph was an unheralded part of the Pacers success. And he should be again throughout next season.
