With news like the recent Paul George announcement, there’s naturally going to be a lot of discussion on Twitter. We’ve rounded up the best reactions and put them all in one place below.
Today’s Paul George frenzy all started with this tweet.

Even though many people had been assuming this news for months now, it had never been made this official or this unambiguous. Paul George will not be a Pacer after next season, full stop. Reactions to this news varied widely, and understandably so. Some were very happy.
God is so good!

That tweet came just 23 minutes after the initial Woj bomb. Some, however, were not so happy.

After the initial shock had faded, many people were immediately discussing what the Pacers could get back in a Paul George trade, and the Cleveland Cavaliers continue to be a heavily talked about trade partner.
#Cavs and #Pacers talks have a feel of multiple players being involved. Indy wants a deal done before Thursday's draft. #NBA

Perhaps this news has decreased the Pacers leverage so much that Kevin Love would actually be the best return they can find. If that were the case, I would really hope that another team with actual young assets or draft picks would be willing to make a second Love deal. There’s no use in trading one star for another and staying on the mediocrity treadmill for two more years.
Sources: Indiana's Kevin Pritchard engaging teams on trading Paul George, but so far, not Lakers. There's a rental market, but how robust? https://t.co/oM9XrATMr9
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) June 18, 2017
I can certainly understand the Lakers feeling hesitant to give up assets for a guy they think they can sign outright. However, the “get him in the building” mentality does exist for a reason. Also, if George ends up on the Cavs with LeBron and Kyrie, I’d be worried about my ability to woo him if I were Magic Johnson.
Sitting on the sideline for PG could backfire in LAL. Short term could turn long-term when surrounded by a championship level team.

Even though it may not seem like it, we still don’t know much more than we knew yesterday. That said, every minute from now until the draft will be much more anxiety-filled than I previously thought.
