Post-Game Grades: Indiana Pacers Beat Philadelphia 76ers, Lose Al Jefferson in the Process
By Josh Padmore
The Indiana Pacers moved into a three-way tie for the 5th seed in the East after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night.
The Good: Thanks to losses from the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks, the Pacers are now in a three-way tie for 5th place in the East. They are also now one game over .500. It was important to see Myles Turner have another standout performance.
The Bad: Al Jefferson got injured and had to be taken off the floor on a wheelchair. Thankfully, it’s just a sprained ankle. Still, it’s very possible that Al will miss some games. Rodney Stuckey also looked to have hurt his knee and went to the bench in the 4th quarter.
MVP: Myles Turner was fantastic. He double-doubled with 17 points and 16 rebounds. He also shot a blistering 7 of 9 from the field.
LVP: Thaddeus Young struggled right from the gate, shooting 0 of 7 from the field. He got a lot of good looks, but just couldn’t make them. His only 2 points were from the foul line.
X-Factor: Al Jefferson only played 10 minutes prior to getting injured, but was very effective. He finished with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Filled it up.
