John Collins — Wake Forest

Perhaps the most under that radar breakout star of this year is the ACC runner-up John Collins.

More from Pacers Draft

Collins is a 6’10 sophomore from West Palm Beach, Fla. Collins is yet another example of a player with a high ceiling that has shown very impressive production at the power forward position.

John Collins has willed Wake Forest to its first dance appearance since 2010 . He has shown great two-way potential and can be a force at times. Collins is dominant on the glass and has above average athletic ability. Although he doesn’t show quite the potential as a floor stretching 4. Collins can bang down low and has the all important wingspan scouts drool over.

If Collins is there when the Pacers are on the clock, Larry should take a hard look. He should show more of a right away type of impact on the defensive end and on the glass. Collins may never prove to be an elite scorer but should be a nice pair in the front court with Myles as a two-way stud.
