C.J. Miles is now 7th all time in Pacers franchise history for three pointers made, passing Troy Murphy, who hit 419 threes as a Pacer.

C.J. Miles knocked down 4 three-pointers during Wednesday night’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs, and now has made 421 threes in an Indiana Pacers uniform. He added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the losing effort.

On the shot to pass Troy Murphy in Indiana’s record book, however, he couldn’t have looked any better.

It’s only took C.J. Miles, also known as 3J Miles, 109 games to rank 7th all time in franchise history for three-pointers made. He’s done this despite dealing with some nagging injuries over the last few seasons. If he played in more games, he definitely could have already passed Chuck Person for 6th all time. Miles will have the remaining 21 games this season to try and catch Person, who sits at 466 made three pointers.

This is a nice accomplishment for Miles, but he still has a long way to go to catch guys like Danny Granger, Paul George and, of course, Reggie Miller. Miles has been shooting the three ball at a very impressive 42+% clip this season, which is easily the best mark of his career. If he keeps it up, he will shoot 40+% from three for the first time in his 12 year NBA career.

The Pacers will look to bounce back from this tough loss on Sunday when their road trip continues on in Atlanta. This will be their first game in Atlanta this season. Last season, they had no success in their building.

This will also be the homecoming for Jeff Teague, as it’s the first time playing in Phillips Arena since being traded to the Indiana Pacers. Teague spent seven years in Atlanta with the Hawks.
