Glenn Robinson III jumped over a man on another man’s shoulders in the first-round of the NBA Slam Dunk Contest

“Who is Glenn Robinson III?” Twitter asked when he was selected for the Slam Dunk Contest.

Now they know.

Glenn Robinson is your 2017 Verizon Slam Dunk Contest champion.

GR3 scored a 50 on his first dunk by jumping over a man on another man’s shoulders, grabbing the ball, and throwing down a reverse dunk in the opening round of the contest.

I mean, look at this. That’s two people. On top of each other. And he clears them both before throwing down a heavy-handed slam dunk.

Robinson only needed one attempt to pull it off too, which would be a bonus or something considering how many times we had to watch Aaron Gordon and his drone fail to get on the same page. Yes, you read that right. The man brought out a damn drone to drop the ball.

In the second round, he went over Paul George’s head for a more modest dunk. It scored 44 points. It didn’t have the same power or showmanship as his first dunk but wasn’t bad either.

And then close out the night with another dunk over Paul George, but added a Pacemate and Boomer. It was worth 50 points despite looking similar to his previous dunk.

You have to give him credit, though, as he cleared the trio without needing to vault over any of them.

Some might complain it wasn’t as good as last year’s — it wasn’t — but Glenn Robinson III’s first dunk would hold up well in any contest. Robinson showed the entire NBA and the world he has some of the best hops in the league.
