Biggest Surprise: Ian Mahinmi

Ian Mahinmi (40.7% of the vote) surprised you the most so far this season, but it isn’t that surprising that he surprised you. Or something.

Coming into the season, it didn’t look the Indiana Pacers had a viable starting center. When Mahinmi ended the preseason with a 16-point game, we joked about the unlikelihood of it. But Mahinmi has gotten the last laugh as he’s been holding down the fort with 8.4 points and 7.1 rebounds a game. While he hasn’t fully replaced Roy Hibbert’s numbers, Mahinmi has certainly been a fine starting center for Indiana this season.

He has played very well in the Pacers’ pick and roll and has led the Pacers to victory more than once this season. While Myles Turner is the center of the future for the Indiana Pacers, Mahinmi is making sure the Pacers have a solid presence there until the rookie is ready.

Runners up: Jordan Hill (26.4%) and Glenn Robinson III (7.8%)
