8p9s Roundtable: Beating the Wizards, Looking to the Grizzlies
Which play was the biggest in securing the victory for the Indiana Pacers?
Washburn: To me, it’s a tie between Hibbert’s flukey tip-in and Paul George’s game-tying floater at the end of the first overtime. Hibbert had done next to nothing all night, and his tip-in seemed to get the crowd involved for the first time. When Paul George tied the game, I thought The Fieldhouse was going to erupt.
Honorable Mention to Hibbert’s 22-footer that we all knew was inevitable and yet, somehow, went in.
Gibson: The ball movement on the final George Hill 3-pointer did it for me. The play wasn’t perfect, but the Pacers kept their eyes open to find the Hometown Hero and he sealed the deal.
Wade: Paul George’s jumper near the end of the first overtime. His return has been a great story and stuff like that makes it feel like a storybook.
Stewart: Rather than a play, I’m going for a move here: Vogel putting in Paul George in OT. He didn’t start overtime like I wanted him to, but they nixed the “minute restriction” they have placed on him and rightly so. The team without Paul George just doesn’t get it done like they do when he’s on the floor. Even if he’s not the one hitting the shot, George provides the distraction, or cover, necessary for Indiana to keep rolling at a high level.
