Post-Game Grades: Pacers Run Out the Gym by Kings Then Mount Futile Comeback

The Good: The Indiana Pacers second-half defense. They were crotch rot throughout the the first half on both ends, but after the break they clamped down. The Kings hit just 13-or-38 (34.2%) from the floor, including 1-of-9 (11.1%) from deep, in the third and fourth quarters combined. And even many of the shots they were hitting — like the game-ending dagger Darren Collison drilled — were closely guarded. The Bad: Losing at home to the Sacramento Kings. Seriously? Falling down by 20? To these dudes? In front of a full stadium on a weekend? On a night when DeMarcus Cousins couldn’t buy a bucket? For shame.MVP: I’ll just leave this here.In the five games since George Hill's return, Pacers are +53 in the 95 minutes Hill has played, -45 in the 145 mins he hasn't.— Tim Donahue (@TimDonahue8p9s) February 1, 2015LVP: Solomon Hill. Zero points in 26 minutes is simply not acceptable. Rodney Stuckey’s 2 points certainly didn’t help either.X Factor: Free throws. The Kings went 18-for-18 in the first half compared to just 5-for-5 for Indiana. Sacto finished 26-for-29, but the first miss didn’t come until the fourth quarter.Recap | Box Score94Indiana Pacers
