Indiana Pacers Trade Option #5: HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOSIERS!

Why this is a good Indiana Pacers trade – Oladipo has become an Indiana basketball icon with his own fan club, as fans travel to Magic games all over the country to see him play. He’s an exciting young talent, but the Magic have that in spades already with Aaron Gordon, Elfrid Payton, Nikola Vucevic and Tobias Harris. Pacers games would become a sea of red, and it’s easy to see Oladipo and Paul George form one of the most talented defensive duos in the league. Shipping out George Hill and Solomon Hill would also solve the communication problems the team faces by being chock full of Georges and Hills.

Why this is a good Orlando Magic trade – They get out Channing Frye’s contract off the books (4 years, $32 million) and the ability to mix in some veterans of Hill and Scola’s caliber to pair up with all that young talent. Solomon Hill would be a nice addition to their crop of young stars as well, and might be a better fit since Oladipo might be best suited at the point guard spot, which is currently occupied by Elfrid Payton.
