Indiana Pacers Trade Option #3: Knight With Mayo on the Side

Why this is a good Indiana Pacers trade – It’s clear this team needs a point guard of the future and Brandon Knight would definitely fill the void (averaging 18.1 PPG and 5.1 APG this season). Bird has been after OJ Mayo for quite some time now and would finally get his man.

Why this is a good Milwaukee Bucks trade – Their big man, Larry Sanders, apparently is no longer interested in playing basketball (Hibbert for Sanders trade rumors were mentioned last year as well) and C.J. Watson has been a nice surprise as a starter for the Pacers on a pretty friendly contract (2 years, $4 million). Knight is in the last year of his contract and is poised to get paid in the offseason. Milwaukee would likely rather draft a point guard and keep their payroll low in order to try and snag a superstar free agent this offseason to pair with Jabari Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
