Indiana Pacers Trade Option #2: PG Place-Holder

Why this is a good Indiana Pacers trade – C.J. Miles seems to be suited for coming off the bench and still getting his 28+ minutes per game to make an impact, so Luol Deng could fill in nicely here as a starter next to Solomon Hill at the wing. This trade would solidify the starting five once George Hill returns and replace a bulk of Paul George’s scoring with the addition of Deng, who could also help the team get back to it’s lethal perimeter-defending ways.

Why this is a good Miami Heat trade – Solomon Hill is a young asset for a team that will need to rebuild soon, and Luis Scola essentially replaces the injured Josh McRoberts (out for the year). He could even play off the bench with Mahinmi as Hassan Whiteside appears poised to grab a starting spot along-side Chris Bosh (who rarely plays with his back to the basket). Miami would finally have some size for the first time in years. Trading Deng would also open up more playing time for Danny Granger, who has looked better this season.
