Despite an overall trend of less expensive playoff tickets, tickets for the Indiana Pacers Game 3 matchup are higher than one might have expected.
Want to go to Game 3 when the Indiana Pacers try to start digging out of their 0-2 hole against the Cleveland Cavaliers?
Well, you might be a little crazy considering how frustrating the Pacers are in this series, but according to TiqIQ, that’s going to set you back at least $49. That’s now bad for playoff basketball.
It may be somewhat surprising that those are the most expensive playoff tickets for an opening round game in Indiana since 2009, but then you remember that LeBron James is the biggest name in the NBA.
That might be why just a few days ago the average asking price was $157 for the Pacers-Cavaliers series.
Like it or note, LeBron James is the face of the NBA. The Golden State Warriors are the best team, but LBJ is still king.
According to TiqIQ, the 2017 NBA Playoffs are generally cheaper than year’s past. Only the Warriors don’t have tickets available for $100 or less. The Bucks were the cheapest with an average asking price of just $92.
For Pacers fans, hopefully enough of them got tickets before they hit the secondary market, as I imagine there will be plenty of maroon and yellow from Cleveland Cavaliers fans. The drive from Cleveland to Indianapolis isn’t so bad.

If the Pacers want to get back into this series, they must defend home court. A loss in the next two games is all but a death sentence for any chance at a comeback. The first two games were close and mostly defined by a few bad moments, not the entire game. If the Pacers can avoid the mistakes that put them behind the eight-ball in the final minutes, they may just have a chance.
