The Indiana Pacers are in the playoffs after closing out the regular season with a victory over the Atlanta Hawks.
The Good: Crisis averted. Paul George’s March madness paid off for the Indiana Pacers as they got their act together at the last minute and made the postseason. That’s 22 of the last 28 years with Indiana in the playoffs.
It would have been great to not suffered from the bouts of inconsistency that plagued them all season, but that will be the story of these Pacers. Inconsistency is the word to define this season for Indiana.
The Bad: The Pacers face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round. Boston may have finished with the better record, but who do you want to face? A younger squad hoping to make their first serious playoff run, or the reigning NBA champions? Experience is everything in the playoffs, and the Cavaliers have plenty of it.
MVP: All hail Paul George.
LVP: The Miami Heat missed the playoffs despite having the 5th best record since January 1st. Coach Erik Spoelstra deserve a lot of credit, but they came up one game short.
X-Factor: Lance Stephenson vs LeBron. Let’s do this.
