Indiana Pacers: 2012-2013 March and April Notable Games

facebooktwitterreddit

The last two months of this season could be huge for the Indiana Pacers if they are where they should be, and that’s leading the division.  Roy Hibbert should be contending for an All Star Spot.  Paul George if he’s to have a breakout season could be there as well.  He should definitely participate in the Slam Dunk Contest again.  Frank Vogel should be getting consideration for Coach of the Year.

This team has a chance to regain the division title, and this last push of the regular season will show what kind of team they are.  March could be a real test for the Pacers, but that month of April should let up and like I said if the Pacers have a lead for the title, that could be an even easier month.

March and April Notable Games

March 3rd and March 23rd

vs Chicago Bulls and @Chicago Bulls

Final two games of the season series between the Pacers and Bulls will be in March.  Derrick Rose could possibly be back before this time, so who knows what the Bulls will look like without him.  If he’s there, then the Pacers will have to slow him down and hope they have a good lead in the division.  It will be key to get these wins and show the Bulls it’s the Pacers time to take control of the Central Division.

March 10th

@Miami Heat

The Pacers final tangle with the Heat and it’s in Miami.  Who knows what the Heat might be doing at this point because they look to be the best in the East and could have a comfortable lead on the number one seed overall.  Losing here might not be so far fetched.  But once again, with the way these teams played last season in the playoffs, I would think the Heat come out firing on this one, and try to crush the spirit of the Indiana Pacers.

March 16th

@Philadelphia 76ers

This could be a big game if both teams are vying for position in the Eastern Conference. I believe this Sixers team could be better than what people are predicting.  With the addition of Andrew Bynum, they have a legit center that could give Roy Hibbert problems.  Seeing those two guys battle it out in the post will be fun.

March 27th, March 28th, March 30th, April 1st

@Houston Rockets, @Dallas Mavericks, @Phoenix Suns, @Los Angeles Clippers

This is one of those West coast road trips, where you are never sure how the team will play.  I know the Pacers can be a great team this season, so therefore going 2-2 or even better 3-1 would be ideal.  But things could go sour, and the team could end up on a four game losing streak. It’s important to keep the focus out West and win these games.

April 5th

vs Oklahoma City Thunder

A game that will be on ESPN, and one that could feature two top teams.  This is another battle with the Thunder, and I expect it to be that.  Both teams could be positioning for playoff seeds, and this game could be very important.
