NBA Fantasy Outlook
I’ve only done fantasy basketball once and it was tough because you had guys going every other night. But I am sure there are plenty of fantasy players out there that I wanted to share who I would start as my fantasy team.
Rajon Rondo, PG

The Celtics are now Rajon Rondo’s team, and I see him having a ridiculous season. I wasn’t a fan of him until watching him go against the Miami Heat in the playoffs. He took over that series and almost won games on his own. I would think that he brings that type of effort this coming season. He’s almost a triple double machine when he really sets to it. That’s awesome for fantasy owners knowing he’ll fill the stat sheet. I would definitely pick him up and start him at point guard for my team.
Kobe Bryant, SG

Sure, Kobe Bryant is an old man when it comes to playing career, but he’s an old man who can score. Even with the talent around him now in Los Angeles, I look for Bryant to get his looks and lead the team in scoring. His average might dip a small number, but you know Kobe Bryant will get his.

Is there any doubt who you would draft number one overall? I don’t know if it’s that close anymore with the season Lebron James had last year. What can he do to even improve upon that? For me, I think if Lebron James could average a triple double if he really worked for it. 10 points a game, 10 rebounds a game, and 10 assists a game, that’s definitely within James’ reach for a season. If he can perform the way he did last year, fantasy owners will be drooling over what kind of points he will get them.
Kevin Love, PF

A guy that loves to rebound and can score points, you have to draft Kevin Love for your team. He averaged 26 points and 13 rebounds a game. He’s a double double machine, and only looking to get better. If he and Ricky Rubio work together on this Timberwolves team, they can both be fantasy studs.
Dwight Howard, C

Dwight Howard playing with a point guard like Steve Nash, you might as well chalk up lots of points and alley oops between the two. Dwight Howard was great on his own with the Magic, so going to Los Angeles should be a walk in the park for him. Hopefully, his game will not drop off because of getting stagnant. I would look for Dwight Howard to get his points and rebounds, along with a few blocks per game as he’s quite the defensive stopper.
