Pacers-Hornets Preview: Can Indy Keep Winning at Home?

The Pacers have been looking flawless so far—especially at home. I can’t believe my eyes. They’ve beaten the Raptors at home, after a 23-point deficit, and then the Suns after a 24-point deficit. It’s just too good. And then they got their groove from behind-the-arc against the Nets last night.
What kind of trick will they pull when they face the Hornets tonight?
The Pacers are clearly the favorite in tonight’s matchup. And guess what?—the game will be played at home! That’s what I love. Conseco Fieldhouse has been magical in the last few games. The Pacers just can’t stop winning.
Victory is in the hand of Indy. Two good games will be played for Indiana Sports tonight. One is the Pacers game at 6PM. Glad it’s early because it’ll end right at the time the Colts game will start. Sorry, no live blogs or postgame shows tonight, because I am all for the Colts-Ravens game. Let’s cheer on the Blue!
But anyways, it would be a great day in Indiana Sports history if the Pacers have a win as well as the Colts. The Pacers will be making a turnaround, as the Colts are making a run to the Super Bowl. It looks to be a mighty good day.
The Pacers are gifted by ESPN Accuscore for tonight’s game, having a 63% chance of winning! Luther Head and Earl Watson will start at the guard spots tonight, with Granger at SF, Troy Murphy at PF, and Hungry Hungry Hibbert at center.
Watson will be facing a tough task against Chris Paul. He’ll need to guard pretty good. Pacers’ leading scorer, D-Granger, will be guarding a menacing three-point shooter in Peja Stojakovic. Hibbert will be having a good matchup against Emeka Okafor, too.
The Hornets haven’t been looking so sharp in their last few games, though. The Pacers? Just the opposite. The Hornets recently loss to the Detroit Pistons in overtime last night, and were outscord in first quarter, 31-16.
“We came out slow as usual, so we had to fight back into the game,” said Chris Paul. “We gave ourselves a chance, but we’ve been giving up a lot of offensive rebounds and tonight it bit us.”
Could the Pacers pull off a run early in the game? You know, I really think they can. They outscored the Nets big time in the second, but hey, that’s the Nets. But it won’t matter. The Pacers can do that. They are looking sharp.
Like I said before, the Pacers are making a turnaround. They just are. I don’t if people are realizing that, though. Everyone is looking at them because of their record, 14-25. Well, that’s what the Raptors and Suns thought, and well—you know what happened.
But I like what they’ve been doing. I don’t think not many people will be coming to tonight’s game, due to the playoff game. But hey, if they win, it’s special.
So don’t be surprised if the place is this packed tonight…
