Return or Burn: Which free agents should the Pacers bring back?

A former league MVP…..of the NBA G League

Trevelin Queen is an interesting case. He continues to light up the G League and has looked okay in his time in a Pacers uniform. Queen was a worthwhile signing given him winning the MVP of the NBA G League. But again, the team will start to run out of roster spots eventually and the question is whether Queen is better than the new players that will be brought in over the summer through the draft?

My guess is that another team will likely overpay him on another contract given how well he has looked in the G League, and my inclination is that it may not behoove the Pacers to try to get into a bidding war for a player that doesn’t have a terribly high ceiling on a team that is hurting for roster spots.

Our decision? Burn him and let another team take a chance on further development.
